We are looking for an excellent researcher with great potential to develop an internationally recognized research agenda in the field of artificial intelligence for multimodal data. The Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Documentation conducts research in the clinical medical environment. The focus is on harnessing and using clinical data for research, teaching and patient care. This involves developing and evaluating tools and methods for IT and biostatistics, from data collection to processing to statistical analysis. In addition, the institute has an extensive network of national and international partners in science and industry that can be relied upon to promote innovative projects as well as interdisciplinary exchange. The initial appointment is limited to six years. After the conclusion of a qualification agreement, the career advancement goal is to transfer to a tenured position as an associate professor (tenure track professor pursuant to § 99 para. 5 and 6 of the Universities Act). If the candidate demonstrates outstanding and remarkable achievements, the qualification agreement may be fulfilled more quickly.
